Cutting Garden in a Box (Fall Edition!)

Have you ever dreamed of growing luscious cut flowers in your own garden to share with friends and family? Posy is here to make that dream a reality! We are now offering flats of 32 mature flower starts for you to tend and cut to your heart’s delight. This collection includes cut-and-come-again varieties in complementary colors that are unique to professional flower growers. Each cutting garden in a box comes complete with simple growing instructions, so don’t worry if you weren’t born with a green thumb.

Our fall cutting garden will include varieties such as yarrow, campanula, hummingbird poppies (I am soooo excited about these!), delphinium, foxglove and more. There is a good chance that some of these might perennialize, meaning they will come back the following year!

Cutting Gardens in a Box (Fall Edition) will be available for pickup the week of November 4th. Does it seem scary to be planting flowers in November?? Guess what- some flowers PREFER cold weather. They grow big root systems all winter so that they can bloom for you next spring!  Flats will be available for pickup in the Mt. Lookout area.

Full disclosure: flower varieties grown for cutting get TALL. This means that you likely won’t want to use them for landscaping purposes. The ideal location is tucked away from the public eye, with full sun (around 8 hours a day). You won’t need to water much over the winter unless things get particularly dry, as the rainfall received is usually sufficient.  You will need around 15 square feet to give your plants adequate space.
